A standard US double roll covers ~56 sq ft on paper but yields far less once strips must align a pattern — large repeats waste 15–25%. Compute wall area, add the waste factor, and always round rolls up.

Dye lots vary visibly between print runs, so order all rolls (plus one spare for repairs) at once with matching batch numbers. Subtract only generously sized openings — the strips around doors and windows still consume near-full lengths.
