What's inside closing costs
Loan origination and underwriting (about 1% of the loan), appraisal and inspections, title search and insurance, government recording and transfer taxes, plus prepaid escrow deposits for property tax and insurance. Buyers typically pay 2–5% of price; sellers pay agent commissions separately.
Ways to trim them
